Conflict is a normal part of life and a constant presence in the workplace. When conflict occurs, it needs to be managed and resolved successfully to achieve the best outcome. Managed correctly it can increase collaboration and creativity. Managed poorly or ignored it can be disastrous to trust, respect, efficiency and commitment. In this course, learn how to recognize the warning signs of conflict before they fully arise and have confidence to take action to prevent situations from escalating. Use a practical framework to help plan a conflict resolution discussion, so you can effectively manage and positively engage to mitigate the risks with confrontational situations in the workplace. By understanding others’ perceptions and expectations, you can reduce the damaging effects of workplace conflict on individuals, teams, and the organization.


  • Identify the causes of conflict at work and the signs of conflict escalation
  • Become aware of your own conflict style and make appropriate choices to manage conflict more effectively
  • Develop strategies to involve others in taking responsibility to resolve the conflict
  • Successfully plan and conduct conflict resolution discussions
