Overview and Strengths

Matt is an Executive Coach and Team Facilitator with a passion for developing leadership effectiveness and culture. He brings proven strategy, people and change leadership expertise in both Fortune 500 and mid-market organizations.

Matt has been fortunate to work and develop with progressive companies in the Consumer Goods, Packaging, Automotive, and Foodservices industries. He’s held VP and Senior Director positions. He certified as a coach around the same time he became a manager and started leading change.

Matt’s corporate experience has been invaluable as an Executive Coach. His diverse functional and industry background enables him to relate with a breadth of Clients and Client agendas. He has supported C-Suite, Senior Executive and high-potential Senior Manager Clients, including start-up, mid-market, multi-national and non-profit organizations.

Representative Client Engagements

  • Coached a VP in an organization ranked in the top 50 in Forbes’ 2022 rankings of the best large employers in the US. Coaching was focused on how to maximize the Leader’s candidacy for a chief officer role and how to think more systemically and beyond their operational background. Coachee accredited the three months of Coaching for helping them think more broadly about what executive leadership involves and take new approaches to build strategic influence and team accountability.
  • Worked with the direct report of a Chief Officer in one of Canada’s top-five banks. Conducted a 360 assessment and debrief. Partnered with the Client to prioritize insights and translate them into a development plan. Held an alignment meeting with the Manager, HR Business Partner and Coachee to finalize the plan and key next steps.
  • Coaching a seasoned Senior Manager at one of the top four consulting firms. Conducted stakeholder interviews, created a detailed report and debriefed the Client. Supporting the Client with six-months of Coaching, focused on their “path-to-partner”. Specifically, building thought leadership, strategic influence and more focused succession planning and team development.
  • Partnered with a newly promoted VP in a global consumer goods company. Coaching was focused on reframing their leadership mindset and building trust and followership with their new team. Coachee and Manager both credited the coaching for fast-tracking the Leaders effectiveness and generating incremental profit and savings for the organization.
