Overview

After over 30 years of experience in the federal public service, the majority of which in senior leadership positions, Kent has had occasion to lead diverse teams through many complex and challenging projects in a variety of disciplines: Policy, Financial Management, Human Resources, Program Delivery at Headquarters and in the Regions. In 2022, and after 10 years at the ADM level, Kent retired to pursue his passion—helping leaders find a path that is right for them in the moment.

A Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and an Integral Master CoachTM, Kent is also a CPA, CGA and holds an ICD.D designation. He is a long-standing Board Member of the Association of Professional Executives for the Public Service of Canada, and has many years of coaching experience both inside and outside of the public service, having served clients across Canada as well as in Asia, Europe, and the US.  Within the public service, Kent has coached individual contributors, middle managers, Directors, Directors General and Assistant Deputy Ministers.  Outside of the public service, Kent has worked with leaders in many large, multinational corporations in financial services, retail, oil and gas, IT and bio-pharma, as well as not-for-profit sectors at the individual contributor, leader and leader of leaders levels.  He has in-depth experience in the following areas:  career coaching, employee engagement, interpersonal conflicts, diversity and inclusion, genuine leadership and managing difficult transitions.
