John is adept at managing the challenges of leading and influencing in multi-national environments. He has demonstrated ability in building effective internal and external partnerships to provide strong service delivery to organizational clients.
He has also led large and geographically diverse teams. He is a high integrity leader who provides senior counsel to executive teams and board members.
John has held several senior HR leadership roles at global organizations including as the Global Head of HR at Northland Power Inc., SVP and CHRO at Purolator, and SVP of HR at Brink’s. He has worked closely with CEO’s and Boards to support the growth of organizations. John was on the Board of Directors for the HRPA for 6 years and served as Interim CEO as well.
John’s coaching philosophy is based on his belief in, and passion for the development of individuals and teams. He believes that individuals hold the key to their development, growth and results. His role is to help them unlock and use their knowledge and experience to address the challenges they face as leaders. Through his years as an executive and coach, John has a keen understanding of the critical difference between coaching and mentoring and how to incorporate that into his client relationships for a more constructive relationship.
