Overview

Janet Mrenica is a life-long learner and has a highly diversified background. She comes to the Talent Company with over 30 years of bilingual leadership experience in both national and international contexts in Canadian federal government departments (science-based, social, economic and international departments) and in the not for profit, social enterprise sectors. As a Former Executive with the Federal Public Service, she now offers professional coaching, facilitation, and consulting services.

Janet is passionate about supporting people through times of uncertainty, cultivating development in IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility), and enabling the career/leadership stages of development and agility of the next generation of leaders, executives and teams. She has a particular interest in developing leadership awareness and skills in aspiring leaders and aspiring executives. She supports such development through 1:1 coaching and team coaching.

She facilitates courageous conversations that matter. In addition to development of custom workshops, she has facilitated various leadership thematic workshops. She has facilitated in-person conflict coaching circles and global workshops. Her work in financial and corporate services management, human resource development, internal and management audit, research of timely policy topics, leadership development and coaching for individuals and teams has led to organizational and systemic transformation and change.

Janet’s care/compassion in supporting the navigation of change is held in her ability to be flexible with changing organizational circumstances & her practice of deep listening. She integrates the lenses & curiosity of Circle Practice, Mental Health & Grief/Loss programming, Utheory, indigenous/ancient traditions/wisdom + low carbon economies.

When she is not working, Janet is an avid walker, spends time with her grandchildren and her two dogs, and whenever possible, she retreats to her cabin in Elphin, Ontario
